Twilight Babies
The Twilight Babies are Alison Lewis, Adam Walker, and Mikey Brown. Formed in 2001, they honed their trip-hop meets dream-pop sound as the Friday night house band at the ultra-hip Buddha Lounge in Detroit. Live, the Twilight Babies are known for their flowing improvisations as well as their tight original compositions, thirteen of which are featured on if you want me to I could write it down.
Prior to the Twilight Babies, Alison Lewis had established herself as a singer-songwriter, having been nominated for Best Folk Act at the 2000 Detroit Music Awards. Her solo CD, Hideaway, was released in early 2002 to critical acclaim.
Adam Walker and Mikey Brown are both charter members of 19.5 Collective (NPFC), a Detroit-based, experimental electronica collaboration specializing in music for the web and television. In 1999 NPFC did six remixes of Detroit Public TV's theme for their award-winning station ID's still in use today. NPFC won Best Sound honors at Flash Forward 2000 in New York for their work on submethod.com and headlined the 2001 Online Flash Film Festival, Barcelona, Spain. Most recently NPFC composed the theme music for Tony Hawk's 2002 Gigantic Skatepark Tour on ESPN.
