At the edge of twelve, my ears and heart were simply divided between The
Bee Gees and Genesis... I had just discovered Genesis in the middle of
my disco period with the "And then they were three" album and really
fell in love with this kind of music... Even if I don't do "progressive
music" (probably, I'm not good enough for that...) I can say that it's
my big musical influence and what it has unconsciously inspired my
peculiar ambiences... I also worked my voice on Kate Bush, Peter
Hammill's songs a few years after, bass and treble voice...before taking
serious singing lessons for 6 years (singing with a great pleasure on
Francis Poulenc melodies and classical songs), and some piano and
compositional lessons too.
It's always very hard for me to define the music I do. I simply and
heartfully do what I feel inside... without
any question, barrier or restraint. Played and recorded all at
"Teradeliome", my home studio.
I like to create my songs as ambiences, giving for each one a special
universe which can make the listener feel like she or he is on a kind of
healing trip, elsewhere, somewhere on planet earth but at the same time
so far away - head in the clouds - There's always a hint of mystical
stuffs in my lyrics, I will not deny this.
I do really love and enjoy stage performances, the magic of the exchange
between me and the audience,
there's so much energy and soul... (most of the time, I play alone with
machines).
In August 2002, my fourth album "ZaZen" came out with its maturity and
plenitude (thanks to the previous ones which help me to develop and
polish my own style up) - One step further - It gives me the great
opportunity to meet persons as Anne Clark, David Hentschel with whom I
did or do collaborate in one or the other way...
But hush, it's already the story of the beginning of the next album...
So welcome to Cosmogony !
P.S : Some years after, I still enjoy singing on the beautiful melodies
of Genesis and The Bee Gees...
