Penny Shreve (Amber)

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Penny Shreve is a lifelong community journalist, having earned over 30 state awards for writing and photography while working at a weekly newspaper in Southern Illinois.

She took up song writing at the age of 19 when she picked up an acoustic guitar on a whim and "felt like it belonged in my arms." Her writing spans several styles, but as a vocalist and writer, her forte' is best expressed in her debut album, "Heartsong," an international release on a new label, MG Music, formed by established New Age artist Medwyn Goodall of Cornwall, England.

Shreve lives in Illinois with her husband of 15 years, Kevin, and their daughter, Jevin, three.
