Mimi Burns began touring Europe in 1999 after the bands first CD release "Slipping Away". On the album Mimi sings the stories that each of us can relate to if we have ever dared to love.
The album was produced by two of the industry's best, Barry Levenson and Mike Sandberg of the Steel Lyfe Productions.
Offering a versatility for all audiences to appreciate, Mimi writes songs which have easy to understand lyrics that people crave.
In addition to touring, Mimi Burns had a radio show for the past five years, based in the Bay Area of California where she was dedicated to helping indie artists get their music heard. With a listening audience of over 100,000,
she found that her listeners were dearly devoted fans who seem to follow and support her on all endeavors she chose to pursue.
Taking this to the next level, Mimi's albums are on rotation in radio stations of over 30 countries.
After endless nights of packed pubs, Mimi began working on the second album. Inspired by an old ship captain, "Ballade of Ned Haywood" hauntingly delves into the hardships of depression, the adventures of love and the apologies to an old flame.
Upon returning from Europe recently, Mimi began work on her third album with the pop sensation producer, Jerry Becker. Adding a fiddle player, the focus will be on Mimi's pop-rock sound grounded to her Celtic roots.
