Lisa Lauren is a singer/songwriter and pianist from Evanston, Illinois. (Chicago)
Lisa released her first CD, "what comes around" independently (and naively), miraculously generating airplay on hundreds of contemporary
jazz and pop stations across the U.S., Europe and Australia. Miramar Records picked up the record for re-release with an option for a second CD.
Sadly, Miramar collapsed before releasing her second disc and Lisa became independent once again.
Since then she has continued to garner rave reviews for all of her subsequent CD's, which now total four
(not including her Christmas single, "Christmas Wish").
All recordings boast the appearance of Grammy Award-winning superstar saxophonist David Sanborn, as well as other high-profile
Chicago musicians such as Steve Rodby, Fareed Haque, Neal Alger and Howard Levy.
Normally Lisa's CD's mix her unique originals with a few cover tunes, but her newest release is a collection of Beatles tunes compiled
from her first three CD's in addition to a few brand-new arrangements.
Lisa is thrilled to have the brilliant Milwaukee singer/songwriter and guitarist Willy Porter joining her on "Love Me Do" and wonderful L.A. guitarist George Doering on "What You're Doing" as part of "Lisa Lauren Loves the Beatles".
