Jaymie Gerard
Jaymie Gerard was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey in 1981. From the time
she could speak, she was singing! At age 13, she picked up her mother's old
guitar and began to teach herself how to play. Jaymie began to write songs
and perform in various cafes`, bars, and bookstores (Borders) in New Jersey
until she moved to Maryland for a year where she continued to play at various
Borders, Books and Music there. Jaymie had a weekly gig at Paloma's in
Baltimore and a growing fan base. Other venues she has played are The Bitter
End in New York City, Coming Out Day at Rutgers University, New Brunswick as
well as Lilith's Child Webzine's Summer Showcase 2001.
Jaymie's stage presesence has been described as sexy and in control she
is full of creative genius developing her writing skills as well as her
fingerwork on the guitar. A true performer she exudes energy and passion
when singing on stage you can only experience her true talent by seeing her

Jaymie is constantly trying to develope as a singer, songwriter, and
poet, and loves to express herself in any artistic form she can dig her hands
into. Although Jaymie can be categorized as folk/rock she also creates
electronic music such as Jungle, House, Trance, and Techno. Her greatest
musical influences are Erykah Badu, Joni Mithcell, and Junior Vasquez.
Jaymie Gerard is currently attending William Paterson University in Wayne New
Jersey and continues to tickle the ivories of anyone who will listen.
