Celeste Donohue
This fiery singer/songwriter was born and raised in Philadelphia. She started her musical career at age 10 with the flute as her instrument and was writing lyrics by 11. Without a music program at the high school she attended (Celeste is a big supporter of the Save the Music Program), she turned her focus towards singing.
After high school she was touring with a band in clubs along the East Coast. To further her musical career, she decided to move to Los Angeles. After making her transition to the West Coast, she worked on various projects as both a lead and background vocalist.
Determined to start a solo career, Celeste set out to find the right producer to help to capture her unique sound. Alvino Bennett, whose extensive credits include Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, and Bryan Ferry to name a few, seemed a perfect fit. After co-writing several songs, they recorded Celeste's first solo effort, "Everything in Suite D", which yielded the first single "Black & Blue", which landed on the FMQB chart. A dynamic singer, intimate lyricist, and an exciting performer, Celeste has the ability to transcend audiences with her songs.
