Collected Sounds October 2003

News

Here's what is new on Collected Sounds for the month of October, 2003

Ah it's Autumn again...my favorite season. Unfortunately here in Minnesota we went from Summer to Winter by-passing Fall altogether it seems. This morning it was 29 degrees and I had to scrape the frost off my car. Brrr.....the trees are not so much multicolored as they are brown sticks. I hope Mother Nature was more kind to you than she was to us!

No new site layout changes or anything like that this month. But I am thinking about putting together my section of the site dedicated to the male portion of the population. There are just so many really good male performers that people don't really know enough about. So I'm thinking of adding this. If you have any suggestions for who should be included please let me know. I would like to feature those who are relatively Indie or at least not well known. So please don't suggest Justin Timberlake or Dave Matthews (I wouldn't even add John Mayer and I love him!)

Also I am trying to come up with a name for the section. I would like it to be clever, witty, etc. But I can't think of anything good. If you have any ideas for the title of the section please email me with those as well. When I get a few to choose from I'll make a poll and the winner will get some kind of little prize...not sure what yet.

If you have not already joined our discussion list, please do so. It will mean more mail in your inbox, but it's good mail, really! Go to the Musings Page to learn more!

Thanks for visiting...enjoy October!

...as usual... I am still asking for visitors to submit CD or concert reviews for the site. It doesn't even have to be a performer that I spotlight, just one that you like. A few requirements are that the women featured must be "total artists" and by that I mean they must write their own music. Not necessarily ALL their own, collaborations are fine and a few covers are fine, but primarily their music must be their own. So if there is a CD that you just can't seem to get out of your CD player or a show that you can't stop raving about, please write up a little something and contact me

Thanks and keep visiting and sending me your suggestions, requests, etc...
