Isn't this the greatest time of year? I just love Autumn. The leaves are falling, it's pumpkin, hot chocolate and bonfire time!! Mmmmm, S'mores.

I am learning all about what it feels like to disappoint people. The house concerts are sold out and so I've been getting some pretty good sob stories about how I just have to let people in even though I don't even have room for the ones I am already allowing. I hate to turn people away, but I just can't fit them all! I wish we could accommodate everyone but we just can't.

But it's going to be a blast!

Artist Spotlight of the Month

I didn't have any artists clamoring to be the artists of the month, so I just picked one of my current favorites, Neko Case. I don't love country music, but I've always enjoyed the Old Country (Patsy Cline's "Walkin' After Midnight" and "Crazy" were my karaoke songs). Neko Case is like that.
A friend gave me her latest record, The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood and I've been listening to it on a regular basis since that day. [Check out her Spotlight]

House Concerts

Upcoming Shows:

The Vienna Teng show sold out so quickly we added another show and THAT sold out pretty darn quickly as well. I now have 40 people coming to each show. Crazy, especially considering I can only seat about 25. This will be an adventure. A fun one though!

Please note too, that I have moved all the Parlor Parties info over to Collected Sounds site. I am going to be letting the Parlor Parties URL go. So the new link is: [http://parlorparties.collectedsounds.com] but it's still a work in progress. You can still see the info [here]

I have one other show in the works but it's not until Spring 2008 and we don't have the date down yet so I'll wait until next month to announce that one. I will give you one hint though, it's a boy and it's not someone we've ever hosted before.

I'm only going to do one per season, I think. Maybe that will bring people out more. As you may know, other than the Vienna show, I have had a lot of trouble getting people to attend. Maybe this will help.
