Here's what is new on Collected Sounds for the month of February, 2005
Wow you can sure feel when spring is coming. All this great music comes out, tours are announced and I get a slew of fantastic artists that want to play here. It's so exciting! I love spring!! I know it's still February and we're under feet and feet of snow, but a girl can dream right? Plus it's like 47 degrees outside (yes, above zero, for you out-of-towners) which; for here in the dead of winter, is downright balmy.
Also we just got a great new radio station here called The Current. Even if you're not in Minneapolis you can hear it online by clicking [Here] and then on the "Listen Here" section. It's so great!
I actually contacted them to see if they'd be interested in doing a Collected Sounds specialty show. So if you're interested in hearing that, feel free to tell them so.
Give them a jingle (651) 989-4893 or shoot them an email.

Thanks for visiting...enjoy February!
House Concerts
OK I'm pretty excited about these shows…
Gregory Douglass - Collected Sounds is proud to present as its first MALE headliner, the fabulous Gregory Douglass (you know he has to be good to headline here, right?)
Douglass passionate amalgamation of contemporary folk, pop, and rock have been compared to Jeff Buckely, Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, and Bjork, while he has been equally influenced by his love for underground female singer/songwriters.
For more info please see [Gregory's show page]
Rachael Sage - Rachael played a show here at Collected Sounds in October of 2004 and wowed everyone. She's a great entertainer with not only her fantastic music but her captivating stage presence and charm. The night was filled with laughter and fun.
Here's your chance to relive the great night or your second chance to be present at a truly fun show!
For more info please see: [Rachael's show page]
Chris Pureka - Whether in the studio or on the stage, Chris's control over her guitar and the complicated and percussive riffs she writes strike critics and peers immediately.
We're very excited to have Chris playing here!
For more info check out: [Chris' show page] we already have several RSVPs and several more interested, so if this looks good to you (and why wouldn't it?) sign up now!
Beth Amsel is also scheduled in June but we haven't set a definite date yet. I'll keep you posted.

...as usual... I am still asking for visitors to submit CD or concert reviews for the site. It doesn't even have to be a performer
that I spotlight, just one that you like. A few requirements are that the women featured must be "total artists" and by that I mean
they must write their own music. Not necessarily ALL their own, collaborations are fine and a few covers are fine, but primarily
their music must be their own. So if there is a CD that you just can't seem to get out of your CD player or a show that you can't
stop raving about, please write up a little something and send it to me
Thanks for your support. Please keep visiting and sending me your suggestions, requests, etc...
