Ellery/Brianna Lane

Well, Ellery was here this month. What a joy. First of all, Tasha and Justin Golden stayed with me for a good portion of the week leading up to this show and I must say they are wonderful houseguests. Justin even shoveled snow for me! But you probably care more about the show…

The night of the show we went out to dinner first with Brianna Lane who was also playing the same night. After dinner we came back and had a little sound check

People started arriving and taking seats and we chatted and drank coffee with some adult additives (Kahlua and Baileys…what? come on, it was like 50 degrees below zero we were trying to stay warm!)

Brianna took the stage and played a great set. She's just so damn charming. You can't help but love her.

Then Ellery began. I'd really only heard their records, not seen them live. But I had seen a video of them playing live on YouTube so I knew that they had a good stage presence, but nothing compares to the real thing. They were marvelous.

It was a great night and I really appreciate all of you that came out in the bitter cold. I know you were rewarded with a great show!
