a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
My first impression before even listening was…Cyndi Lauper what with the purple-pink shiny lipstick, lots of eye make up and a fuchsia feather boa.
Her sound actually does fit her look, but not in the Lauper way. Madame V's music is mostly likely to be heard at a gay disco club. It has catchy beats and bratty lyrics. I imagine her music would fit in very well along side, Jennifer Lopez, Aqua, Hannah Jones and the Weather Girls. It's fun, lively, animated music that makes you want to dance. It plays much better when LOUD.
"Reckless" is probably my favorite. I was listening to this in the car on my way home from work and by the time I got there I wanted to throw
on a boa and go to Boom! (and I'm not even gay)
If you collect "Queer as Folk" soundtracks, you'll love Madame V!
