 "Waiting for My Conviction"
by Leslie Clemmons

a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

I reviewed Leslie Clemmon's previous CD, "Stop the World" in 2004. I liked it's funky jazzy style and I'm glad that she has not taken too much of a departure on this record.

The opening track, "Perfect Imperfections", is very likeable, somewhere between AAA radio and your favorite folk song.

She is still in touch with her funky side and shows it off on "Lonely for Two". The staccato guitar is a nice touch. It gives it a certain energy.

"Don't Sing at The Table" makes me want to clap and move.

Most of these songs actually will make you want to move. I found my self chair-dancing a little while listening.

This is a fun pop-jazz-funky CD that I think will appeal to many.

Comment: Being a guy who likes cake, I have to love having seconds, - and when you like the seconds at least as much as the first helping - Yeah Baby ! How could it be better... 25 minute Blues numbers, maybe ? Keep ya feelin' it, hearing your song. Mmm. Thank you , Miz Clemmons Desmond Shaw
