a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Jorane is back after making an slightly more commercial album with The you and the now. That one even had a Donna Summer cover on it.
This new record sees the Canadian singer/cellist back to her experimental best.
Sauve-moi is a pretty piece with the cello taking center stage alongside other strings.
Rose Verlours sees Jorane at her most beautiful, a heart-rending vocal set against a soft melody.
Arriver a is rhythmic and has a more relaxed feel than the other songs.
Elephant Blanc is slightly more hard-edged and Jorane’s delivery is strong.
Her new album is a delight.
