 "The Uncut Version"
by Kristilyn Robertson

a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

There's something about the minimalist look of this CD cover that made me expect anything but the intricate and layered music within.

These songs are melodic and slightly theatrical. They are very well written and performed. Robertson's voice is girlish at times and sexy kitten purr-ish at others. But always right on, and always a fantastic match for the genre.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention her strong similarity to early Sarah Slean. There's a touch of Jill Tracy here as well.

If you like piano pop that borders on theatrical cabaret you must check this out.

I can't choose any stand out songs because I honestly like them all. I tried and ended up listing almost all of them at one time or another. If pressed, "I Like It Like That" kills me! This is a great record.
