a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Bonnie Ste-Croix has a lovely, warm voice that suits her songs well. Her second album is a tender, reflective record.
The gritty, rootsy "Gravity" features a vocal that recalls Melissa Etheridge at her best.
"Summer June" is smoky, jazz-influenced tune with a sultry vocal and a sweet lyric.
The bluesy "Soothe You" is another great song.
Ste-Croix breathes life into the sometimes sleepy genre.
"That Way" takes in folk influences in a good way.
The closing "Tu M'as Dit" is a lovely song sung in French.
"Summer June" is a very nice listen.
