a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Seela sings in the jazz combo Torch but also has a solo career going. This record sees her penning delicate but still forceful songs and sing them like an angel.
"Give Up" is like a less haunted Mazzy Star.
"Peace of mind" is poppy and has an adorable lead vocal.
"Hero" is a simple song with a hushed vocal worthy of Kristin Hersh and a brilliant lyric. The songs quasi-country feel and intriguing tempo shifts make it special.
"Good Parts" is a hopeful song and a genuinely beautiful one. Seela sings close to the mike and it sounds like she's in the room when the song is playing.
It's a lovely album all told.
