a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
English singer Evelyn Downing makes hauntingly delicate music with partner Jamie Field. Her sweet vocals work well with the music.
"Last Night's Strangers" is a sensitive song. The lyrics are moving and the melody gorgeous.
"Heart Sings" uses Dawning's flute to great effect and features some of her loveliest vocals.
"Dark Cover" has unearthly singing and an ambient feel to it.
"In my Dreams" is stunningly arranged. The words of longing resonate with the listener. There's a pastoral mood to the song that appears elsewhere on the album as well.
"Shine" is an intriguing introduction to Evelyn Dowling's music.
