a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

I reviewed Teri Falini's previous release, Sun Under Me in 2005 and I liked it. It was…the term I used: *raaarrrrh * It was pretty rockin. This one is too.

Falini has a really unique voice. It's deep and dirgy but she can hit the high notes too. Very adaptive to the song or parts of the song she's singing.

I had likened her to PJ Harvey in my last review. I guess I can still see that a little. But this seems more mainstream in some ways. Not quite as edgy, but more down and dirty. Still similar though.

The musicianship on this record is very professional, as is the production. The parts are all well done and create a great whole.

"My Father" is a spooky, dirgy song, almost a march. Cool.

"Up All Night" has an 80s feel. Very fun. It reminds me of Joan Jett and artists like that who were big back then.

If you like your rock with an edge (but not super hard) this might be a good choice for you.
