a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Canada’s Marcomé releases her new album and is obviously a gifted singer.
She records in the same genre as Enya and Loreena McKennitt.
I’d call it New Age and like Amy I like it more as I grow older. Hmm..
Anyway Marcomé is a talented singer and this is a lushly produced record with a great sound.
River of Life is very Enya with its lush sound and easy-going vocal.
Arabica is exotic sounding and has one of Marcomé’s best vocals.
World is Singing is another life-affirming song and it explores some African influences.
Meteora is more haunted and mysterious, it’s here I’m reminded of Loreena McKennitt.
Marcomé’s gorgeous vocals spin round and form a wordless choir.
The closing Nostrie Tempo is a bit of an epic and handles it well.
It you like the singer’s I’ve mentioned you can’t go wrong with this album.
