a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Norway's Animal Alpha has a heavy sound and a strong vocalist in Agnete Maria Forfang Kjolsrud.
Opener "Billy Bob Jackson" trashes wildly as Kjolsrud wails like one possessed.
"Bundy" sounds like a female-fronted Tool. Kjolsrud goes from girlish sweetness to demented fury even as guitarists Christian Wibe and Christer André Cederberg excel.
"Catch Me" sounds catchy despite being hard. The singer adopts a satanic Gwen Stefani voice, when she's not growling or giggling disturbingly. She's a star.
"Bend Over" is a grinding song with some excellent guitar work.
This debut should make fans of harder music very happy.
