The Master Chaynijs have an odd, but persuasive sound.
Singer Sam Halmarack makes like Billie Holidays psychotic nephew on “Dead Man’s Curve” a song that recalls Dresden Dolls cabaret.
“On the Way from Your house” is softer but no less thrilling.
The ep ends with “Only Death Can Save Us" a sardonic and strange number. On this evidence the band are worth following.
