"No Cinderella" by Leslie Berry

Leslie Berry sure can play piano. If you've read my other reviews you probably know how much of a sucker I am for piano. I think it's because I still hold a torch for my first musical love interest, Billy Joel. Leslie's playing even sounds like Joel's at times. This is good. She also has a pleasant clear voice.

The opening track "Cinderella" is a lush, full sounding song with piano, trumpet, backing vocals, and bass. She also has cello on some other songs.

Other standout songs are "No Doll's House" (with the aforementioned cello…yum), and "Harrison's Clock" which has gorgeous piano prelude. The rest of the song is beautiful too.

Speaking of prelude, the next track, "Make Believe Prelude" is great as well. An instrumental piece with intricate piano over a jumpy happy beat.

The whole CD is solid and fun and well, just good. This is Berry's second CD and I hope to hear more from her in the future.
