a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

I reviewed Sarah Fimm's debut "Cocooned" here and am pleased to see she's done so well since then. Her third record has more elements of electronica than her previous ones, but her songwriting is still great. Here she's done 15 songs about connections of various kinds and she explores the theme well.

"Story of Us" certainly connects with its strong lyrics and emotive vocal from Fimm. The backing resembles what Björk was doing on her last album.

"Strange" is a darker Dido taking Tori Amos by the hand and leading her into pastures new.

"Be what U Wanna be" has a hopeful lyric but a dark mood anyway. Fimm makes the contrast work well.

"Paradise" offers an ideal that may be hard to reach but Fimm seems to need to believe in it anyway.

She ends her album with these lovely lines

"Into the great wide open
All of the stars become us
Into the great wide open space we go
Let's go"

And so ends a transcendent and fascinating journey. Take it with her.
