a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Laurel McDonald's third album is utterly gorgeous. She sings not with words but rather produces sounds as the music undulates behind her.
The opener "Nenia Sirenes" is hypnotic in its soft ebb and flow.
The title track is another beauty with Mc Donald's voice reaching rapturous heights to a jazzy backdrop.
"Envelope of Many" is a soft song with McDonald's hummed vocal circling itself in many layers.
"Beauty Found me" is an aptly titled song , Anne Bourne's cello and a peerless vocal creating a work of wonder.
This record is poetic and transgressive.
