a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
Reading Diana Page's bio (written by her mom, how sweet is that?) I learned that she's been at this biz for a long time. By the time she was 12 she'd made enough money singing in commercials to pay for college. Now when she records she produces the music herself usually playing all the instruments. Quite impressive.
Diana Page has a nice voice that suits the music well, and judging by the photos on her site, she's cute as all get out.
This CD has got that super pop sound that I usually have to be in the right mood for.
But there's something about it that draws the listener in and makes you realize it's not just cheesepop.
"Ebb & Flow" has something about it that sounds like Christian rock.
"Life is Simple on a Farm" is a cute, VERY poppy guitar tune. Cutesy but well written.
"I Belong to You" would be a good wedding song.
"Knowing You" is probably my personal favorite here.
If you like pop in the vein of Cheryl B Engelhardt and Helen Slater, give Diana Page a listen and I bet you'll like her as well.
