a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Kristin Shout's debut ep is an arresting record. Her
deep, rich vocals and strong songs impress.
"All Your Money" is a gritty, sad tale that pushes
Shout's vocals to the fore.
"Hot Water" is more restrained and has a nice folksy
ring to it.
"Bruiseless" is a nice piece of gutter poetry with a
Kurt Weill-like melody. Here Shout lets out weird
vocal inflections like there's no tomorrow.
Her ep is brief but there's enough here to herald the
arrival of major new talent.
