JAIDEN: Jaiden "Jaiden"
by Jaiden

a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Jaiden's music is as sexy and fun as the CD cover art promises. The songs are radio friendly (dare I say, mainstream) pop and hip-hop with a dance-y edge. The difference between Jaiden and many of the other artists in this genre is that she can actually sing! Her voice is clear and smooth and is equally skilled at rapping, singing a ballad or a dance song.

She uses some funky programming techniques such as voice altering stuff, which sounds cool. Even though she doesn't need those tools because like I said, she had a good voice that doesn't need to be altered.

The production of this Indie recording is top notch, making it sound like a major release.

"Life is Here" and "On a Mission" sound like radio hits. But I like "Troy", a ballad, very much too. I can imagine almost any of these songs being played at a dance club alongside Jennifer Lopez and the like. I mean, how can you sit still to a song called "Shake Your Ass"?

All the songs have a certain familiar quality to them, that's not to say they're derivative, just that they're comfortably written, if that makes sense.

If you're looking for a good, fun, party CD to get your guests up and dancing this is a good pick.

Comment: This girl has some chops on her!! I'm no stranger to this site; so it being Jaiden was the spotlight artist for this month, I took a chance and I bought the cd. To my surprise, the girl can actually sing! In a music world where looks matter and talent is overlooked, Jaiden is THE complete package. This cd should definetly be included in any music lover's collection. I highly recommend it!!
