 "In No Particular Order"
by Lana Romanoff

a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Lana Romanoff has a sweet voice and writes atmospheric songs. Her debut lands somewhere between Dido's lush electronica and Fiona Apple's confessional songs. The catchy opener "Drown" is instantly engaging. Its yearning words and soft strings go together well. "I Would Love you" is dreamy and sad. It's reminiscent of Madonna's "Ray of Light" period. "It hurts so bad" is a slice of exotica with heart-broken lyrics.

"When the Silence is over" is an oriental-flavored moment worthy of Natacha Atlas.

With just six songs, this ep hardly wears out its welcome, but makes me want to hear more. Romanoff's made a great start to her career in music.
