a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Jason Hart's worked with some famous people including the now Mercury prize winning Antony and the Johnsons. His solo project is very accomplished. He possesses a likeable voice and can play a multitude of instruments.
"Hold On" is a duet with Ana Torroja and it's very nice. Hart's got a Ben Folds thing going here.
"Sweet Lorraine" is lightly funky but with sad words of an unlucky girl.
The moving title track has a soft melody and a wonderful lyric.
"Don't Fall" has a backing vocal from Antony, and he's in fine form. Hart's written a strong song.
The closer is a cover of Elton John's "Mona Lisas and Mad hatters" and is gusted by none other than Rufus Wainwright. Swoon. The cover works well and even if Hart's brought some famous friends in he's capable of standing on his own feet.
"If I Were You" is an understated delight.
