Humana by Dwelling "Humana"
by Dwelling

a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Dwelling hail from Portugal and you can tell by their music. They are influenced by the Fado and blend it with other styles of music. Vocalist Catarina Raposo has a formidable voice that suits the melancholy nature of the music.

"Tecelos de Nova Realidade" uses a sensuous lead vocal and some virtuoso guitar-playing by Nuno Roberto and Nicholas Ratcliffe.

"The Wheel" has a classically influenced tone that suits the reflective lyrics well.

"Lingering Stupor" allow the acoustic-based instruments to dominate while Raposo sings angelically.

"Remember Virtue" is a beautiful song that lets Raposo shine.

Dwelling's record is a rare, magical thing.
