a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
After reviewing Alice Bierhorst's previous record it's a delight to hear her new one. Here she plays with a band after having done everything by herself on the previous cd.
This seems like a more "up" record as a result. "Run to You" is folksy and sweet. Her voice is in great shape as she sings of love.
"Wishing Well" is sensuous and slightly psychedelic. Bierhorst's suggestive vocal is compelling.
The title track is a lazy, gorgeous song about the shortness of life.
The up-tempo "See Me Ride" sees Bierhorst sing with an appealing raspiness that the other songs just hint at.
"Something Good" is bluesy and tough.
"Here Today" is another gem from Alice Bierhorst.
