a Review by Amy Producer of Collected Sounds
Well, I loved Nedelle's previous (and debut) release, "Republic of Two" so well it made my top of 2003 list. I still listen to it on a regular basis. So I was thrilled to see that she had a new release out now.
I'm so glad the first was not a fluke. This release is as good if not better.
Nedelle's voice is so distinct and lovely. It's got a very homey comfortable feel to it. Any child would be lucky to have Nedelle singing lullabies to him or her.
"Follow Me" uses a instrument that I believe, is a clarinet. But perhaps has the key board paying with it giving it a hollow sound that is haunting and really cool.
I am looking forward to playing this CD on a sunny spring afternoon while I am relaxing on the porch and sipping wine.
Other stand out songs: Though I truly love all the songs on here, these really do stand out to me: Blundering Blood, The Natural Light
