"Freedoming " by Free Dominguez

One of the most unexpected, yet most anticipated albums of the year would have to be Free Dominguez's "Freedoming".

I myself am used to and undoubtedly obsessed with Free's work with the Kidneythieves, an amazing, rock/industrial group that has legions of fans. But, like many artists, Free took some time away and delved deep into herself to produce her first solo album.

Many people may be expecting a sound similar to that of the Kidneythieves, but "Freedoming" is definitely a departure from that sound.

Free's voice is as stunning as ever, and her honest, introspective lyrics seem like they're taken from a personal journal. With 11 tracks, each song presents itself with its own identity.

My favorites include "Truth or a lie to believe" and "Around the Sun".

Free Dominguez has definitely established herself as a storyteller. With acoustic guitar work, and layered sounds, Freedoming is a mellow journey through life and various situations that we come in contact with.

Comment: ive been a huge fan of KT since their debut disc trickster. Free's solo work is fantastic though it doesn't do her live show justice with a full band backing. free is so amazingly versatile her vocal talents shine as she approaches/ experiments with different projects. i can't wait to see what she does next.
