a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Shauna Burns debut starts with the promising yet eerie "Ghosts and Vampires". It shows Burns skill as a singer and pianist.
"Castle In My Cloud" is equally strong with her music showing a resemblance to that of Tori Amos.
"Petunia" is a cute little song with a pretty tune and nonsensical words.
"Nonsense" is a striking nine-minute epic that gives Burns the chance to stretch her song to the fullest. The instrumental passages really demonstrate what a lovely instrument the piano is.
"Clouds move in and out of my head
thoughts knots in my hair"
...she sings, oddly but persuasively.
This album is a stellar debut for the gifted Burns.
