"The Ever Changing Colors of the Sea"
by Annette Buckley

a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Annette Buckley’s music is just plain gorgeous. Her singing and songwriting is of the highest caliber.

“If You Follow” with its insistent drums and up-beat chorus charms instantly. Buckley’s vocal is both deep and soaring which makes the song deeper.

“Honeysuckle” lives up to its title and has a seductive lead vocal.

“Whirlwind” is one of the album’s strongest songs and sees Buckley singing of lost love to a restrained backing of piano and violin.

Amy (creator and producer of this site) said in a review that she was a “piano slut”..yes me too. Can’t resist that instrument ever.

“Grey Love” is another song that tugs at the heartstrings.  Buckley describes a hurtful love as grey and contrasts it with the colors it had when it was good. It’s an interesting choice of metaphor that works well.

Buckley’s an intriguing new artist and this record is just wonderful.
