a Review by Anna Maria Stjarnell
The second EP by Evelyn Downing shows a maturation on her part. The music's a little harder (but still pretty mellow) and her voice has grown stronger.
"Pretty Dress" is sweetly evocative and has a lovely vocal by Downing.
"Girl in the Mirror" is folksy and intricate. Jamie Field's guitar-playing is brilliant here.
"My Own
Way" is gorgeous and has a perceptive lyric about independence.
"Ophelia" is a demo, but a fully realised one with a dreamy, slightly eerie feel to it.
"Electric" is a fine EP.
