a Review by Amy - Producer of Collected Sounds

The music is described as such on CD Baby: "Progressive Instrumental Middle-Eastern Music with a Rock/Electronic Sound. Also features electrifying percussion pieces and Indian vocalization."

My first impression is that it's messy. There's so much going on here. Then very abruptly it stops. There is a lot of energy in this music so I bet it's great live. I just have a hard time imagining pulling this CD off the shelf to listen to on a whim.

But I can tell that Danziger is a talented musician. I know drumming/percussion is difficult and she doesn't miss a beat (ba-DUM-cha-thank you, thank you I'll be here all week).

The songs are interesting musically as well. These tracks would be great as background music in a film.

Maybe I am just not as well versed in this type of music, but personally it puts me on edge. It's frenetic and wild. It might be stunning to see live, but it makes me feel like my eyeballs are shaking. When I turned it off I actually felt every muscle in my body relax. I felt peace.

So needless to say, this music is not really for me.

If frenzied drumming and jungle rhythms are your cup of tea I think you'll like Dust.
