"A Dance with the Shadows"
by Tirill

a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Norwegian singer Tirill Mohn has recorded a lovely solo record. It's an ethereal, mystical and moving record.

"Don't Dare to Love you" floats by propelled by a flute passage and Mohn's innocent-sounding vocal.

"Winter Roses" is a sweet song that bears a resemblance to the work of Mohn's fellow Norwegians Bel Canto.

"Heavy Heaves" is haunting and slightly scary. It's sophisticated arrangement and Mohn's gorgeous vocal helps it along. It made me think of Kate Bush's "The Ninth Wave" cycle of songs from "Hounds of love".

"Golds of Morning" is sunny and carefree and utterly enchanting.

"A Dance with the Shadows" was written during a long period of time, but it feels like a cohesive work.

It's worthy of your attention.
