a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Rietta Austin’s debut is a very nice and very commercial.
She has a strong, flexible voice and uses it well on these mostly poppy songs.
Opener “Madness” sees her cut loose to a suitably tough backing.
“Wild Flower” is energetic and shows off her voice to a nice melody.
“Falling” is an effective, softer moment. Rietta holds back a little and gives a fine performance.
The bluesy strains of ”Back to you” suit her well too.
She manages a nice cover of the equally big-lunged Melissa Etheridges’s “Like I do” as well.
All in all it’s a neat debut.
