a Review by Amy - Producer of Collected Sounds
This is not your average pop music. I don't even know how to describe it, let alone classify it. It could almost be called World music just because it sounds anything but American. It's simple yet complex. "Blood and Gold Lust" begins with a dissonant organ sound. The vocals are a little distorted making an almost eerie sound. Lovely.
"Unentranscended" (is that even a real word? A Google search only brings up Turkish Queen related things!) is a lovely atmospheric piece. Good for late night candlelit dreaming.
Too bad this recording only consists of 4 songs; I'd be interested to hear more from this group.
A word about the packaging: It's beautiful. It's very artfully done. Though the font is a tich difficult to read against the designs on the inside, it's still quite nicely done.
