a Review by Anna Maria Stjarnell
Amy Meyers' new CD starts with the brilliant song
"Crossing" in which Meyers somehow makes an oddly
paced track sound good.
She continues with less complicated, but equally good
songs. Meyers makes folk influenced pop with smart
lyrics and memorable tunes.
My favourite line is "Jesus was a man who walked all
over the land. I would say he knew his geography
well"("Jesus was a Man").
Meyers has a few thing in common with Shawn Colvin,
but she is a bit edgier. This makes "Crossing a worthwhile listen.
