a Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Charlotte Summer's sound is very new wave but with a modern twist. There are shades of Blondie's eclectic approach and sass as well as New Order's elegiac disco.
"Without Me" is catchy and dreamy in its first version. A club mix closes the album.
"Guilty" is heavier fare. The words are dark and the beats low and rumbling.
A cover of the Cure's "Just Like Heaven" makes a shift from the original's soft sound to something more club-friendly.
"Psycho" is an atmospheric, ethereal track that shows another aspect of Summer's music.
In all, a great debut.
