a Review by Anna Maria Stjarnell
Bee and Flower's music is beautifully solemn. Their
sadness is not opressive but lovely though. Dana
Schechter's voice has shades of PJ Harvey.s raw blues,
but is distincly her own.
"Twin Stars" is a slow, piano-led song which is
achingly sweet. Schecther even makes whistling sound
good.
The Cowboy Junkies-like "Riding on Empty" is another
great song. "Dupe" sees Schechter using her expressive
voice impressively. The song has a threatening
atmosphere that is very suggestive.
Bee and Flower.s
debut is a great thing.
