a Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
The opening song, "End of the Line" is a fantastic way to start out this record. It's catchy and marchy and anthemy and I love it. It makes me want to sing along loud. This would be great in concert with a bunch of folks who knew the words and sang along. It's even got 'da-da-da-da-das'. Excellent!
Emily Grogan has a great voice. It's strong and powerful with out hitting you over the head. She's able to belt it out as on the first track and she can also take a down a few notches on the slower ballad type songs. It sounds first rate on all of them.
The songwriting is unique and very good. She's able to make the songs catchy without being too mainstreamy.
The musicians all sound fantastic as well. Very nice together.
I noticed some of the background "ethereal" voice parts were done by Heidi Saperstein. She's been featured on this site as a solo artist as well.
